I have tested and Installed the (IES) Intelligent Energy Saving Feature of ASROCK.
The IES is good, Saves 15% of CPU Power. good for making our world more Clean and Green by less power consumption.
But, IES is not perfect. in Windows XP you should turn IES off and Restart your PC before playing computer games, leaving it on causes your games to crash/slow performance. in Windows 7 it automatically switches the right amount of gaming power.
also, causes some motherboards to crash or froze. I have tested it in my ASROCK N68-S UCC, computer froze up about 5 times a month. in 8-12hours of usage/day. turning it off solved the crash problem. many users of ASROCK IES are also experiencing this kind of computer crash/froze.
the best thing to do is just not use IES if you had crash problems and give your computer the right amount of power. just like a human working. "a happy employee is a productive employee" same as your CPU. give it a good power.
Have a nice day.
